Pros and Cons of Magnaflow High Flow Catalytic Converters
Hi All;
For a while now I have been considering removing my OEM cats for Magnaflow High Flow Catalytic converters. I also noticed that MrMark is running these. Here are the pros and cons of this mod, please feel free to chime in:
Pros:
Increase airflow for more power
Inexpensive
Eliminates greatest restriction in exhaust system
Cons:
Possible trigger P0430 and P0420 code
Loss of backpressure could reduce power (?)
Anyone have anything else to add?

Are you planning to track your SC? You won't really 'feel' most of the performance mods unless you're over 60 mph on the curves heading to 110+ on the next straight ... You might want to try autocross though - you will really feel suspension mods around tight turns on slomons. Lower speeds mean more safety and less wear an the care compared to a road course.

Interested in this being the gs has the same as the sc's cats. Anyone have this w/o the CEL? Anyone running it with O2 defouler/simulator? I live in Cali, laws are so uptight with smog emissions I figured to ask.
