What size is the hole saw 1 inch? Why did you cut out the 2 slots at the lower bottom? Did you cut the chunk out on the very bottom, looks maybe 1/2 inch wide and maybe 5 inches long? And please do not rub it in about the shorts being needed in CF. It was 17 this morning when I got up around 07:30. I believe it topped out at 43
Remember, I had the OEM spare tire piece to copy from...I just used the smallest hole saw I had and think it was 1in. Just use the rubber bumper to decide the hole size. It was actually loo large but it didn’t matter because it’s covered up.
The holes for the rubber bumpers are already in the metal of the car. Just measure the distance vertically and horizontally to locate where to drill. Start small and test fit.

the large cutout was trial and error. I test fitted the cover with the bracket in place, marked it and made my Drimmel cuts.
then checked the fit again and trimmed more. This went on three or four times until I was happy with the fit.

the slits at the bottom were made so the tire would fit better. Put your tire in there and you will see why I did it. The cover sticks out.

Thanks I appreciate it.
Super clean.
In regards to cutting the carpet, did you use a stock (non run flat) carpet as a template or free hand it?

did you go all the way back to post one…it shows everything.https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc4...ml#post9110087

I had two SC430s, on the first, I purchased the entire kit…when I did the second car, I purchased some of the parts and cut the non-spare parts using the spare tire parts as a template.
hope that makes sense.
Also, Megazip was a great parts source when I did the second car

perhaps some of us don’t have roadside and would rather have the spare tire.
