Seriously though, maybe you stressed it when you took it out doing the timing belt. Or it's plastic and ozone did its thing. Anything lasts more than 10 years and I'm happy. Funny kind of first world problem.

Glad it was a cheap easy fix though.
Go easy there Big Guy! ;-) LoL, yea, I get your point, I originally thought the plastic tank was separating on a seam, but after looking at it more, I just think the plastic is brittle and it life is complete!
The previous radiator removal certainly could have sped up the failure.
So here is some good news.

I ordered from Amazon on Sunday and noticed the item still did not ship today, so I called them and asked when it would ship and from where. The lady did not know, so I explained that I really needed the part and why, she then said, I am going to upgrade your order to next day delivery at no additional charge and you will have it by 8pm tomorrow night!
Now that is awesome customer service!

I drove the car a short distance today and noticed the radiator is really starting to leak now, here is another picture of the cracks...let this be another WARNING, once they start to leak, it will not take very long before they leak fast. If your car is old like mine, check the anti freeze every week and look under the car often...if you smell antifreeze, check it out!

Right next to the upper radiator hose...

I pulled my radiator tonight, actually it was pretty easy and only took about 30 min. A write up will follow and I have plenty of pics!

Good news

I love Amazon by the way. I can't get that kind of service from the local businesses - seems like I'm treated more like a number to them than I am by someone who really does only know me as a number (and a pretty small one in their universe of customers).
