Default O2 sensor housing unit wire connected- voltage present

Since my accident, I have been trying to connect the loose wire depicted in the photo to alleviate CEL codes p0150, p0430, and p0125.

This has been a really challenging DIY. I probably spent a dozen hours on my back diagnosing the problem, looking for the connector, figuring out how to remove, and how to splice and rewire. The O2 connector is housed in a really tight location under the headers, with little space or light.

My hypothesis was that the loose wire was causing my O2 sensor circuit malfunction code P0150, as well as a P0430, and maybe even a P0125.

Once I spliced and connected the wire, I prayed I would read voltage coming from the Bank 2 Sensor 1 O2 sensor.

Was totally thrilled to get voltage on my dashcommand app, and I just wanted to share that with you all!!!!

I wonder how many thousands of dollars I would have been charged at the dealer and how much I would have been lied to?

Way to go Lex!!!
So glad you were able to fix the problem.
Were you able to push the wire back into the connector, or did you replace the connector?
I remember the connector and I thought the wire had been pulled out, or did I remember it incorrectly?

Yes you were correct, all I needed to do was push the wire in the hole. But easier said than done. I first had to figure out how the sensor was connected to the housing. You my friend were very helpful In Identification of the Part number. Then I bought the part online and that helped me figure out how the wire went into the hole. Was also helpful because I could SEE the locking mechanism. Once I removed the housing unit, it was right in front of me and I figured out how to rewire. Ended up sticking new firmer wire in the hole, connecting to smaller wire, and using permatex to insulate and protect from water. Couldn't get the housing back on so I used a zip tie to sway bar. Looks ghetto but it got done! Here is a pic of that little connector with wire sticking out!!

Little white wire sticking out! What an incredible pain to access and reconnect!
