Glad to hear that your loved ones are safe. Prayer is effective! I hope they fare well in the aftermath/clean up also.

Great News! Glad everyone is well!

Now the fun cleanup begins!

In 2004, we had two storms here in Florida...

Retroplay, good that your folks are safe back in the PI. I will visit Manila soon.

Glad everyone's safe. Material things can be replaced. Loved one can't. My best wishes on the road to rebuilding ahead.

Thank you everyone

Mandyfig, I have not visited Manila yet. My family there warns about how much crime there is. I always fly into Clark AFB in Pampanga instead. Closer to the family there anyway. They are mountain peoples in the north, so she is one tough country girl. They are Ifuago/Banue, if you have been there before.

The only bad part of that is the 4 different languages I am still learning (and embarrass myself trying.) lol

On topic again, I have decided to take a step back. I have been running roughshod into mods being too eager. The damage I did to the climate controls is the result of that.

I have switched out a lot of lamps and they look really good, IMO. But then I stumbled on a 2006 Prius radio with its blacked out face and fell in love with the look.

So I am switching gears a bit I think and trying to see how much I can reduce lights in the cabin (without losing vital information.) The point is that it showed me that my plans were not as solid up-front as I thought they were. I need to look around little more and decide what style I really want to go with.

Winter is also coming which will slow me down considerably. Good time for planning. At the moment, I don't have a nice garage to work in the warmth.

Just wanted to let you all know that I am around. I stop in here once every couple days to see what's new or if I can offer help.

For a few different reasons, I have needed to take a pause on the modding. But I shall be back soon. If you need to reach me for any help, just buzz me and I will do my best to help.

They are doing just fine. They are tough people in the Philippines.

The unfinished house held up well and protected them. Thankfully we had it done in welded steel and the majority of the structure was finished already. We lost some gutters and a few bolts popped on the roof, but no major damage.

That is good news.

It has been fun to "watch" your work on the SC. Hopefully, you'll be back at it after hibernation.

Retro, not sure if this will help now but here ya go!

this is the link to a website with the service manual for the SC430 OEM Pioneer Head Unit and many others...

I cannot remember who provided this link but wish I did because I would give them the credit...

Thank you. I think that was the link I originally got mine from. I have not been able to find one for the 2006 radio, which is frustrating. I wanted to look into why addons keep stating that they only work 2005 and up when externally the stereos are identical with the same connectors.

And all is right in the world again.

Replaced the temperature control unit that I had broken. 2005 Radio installed.

And now I have a spare radio and temperature control unit to experiment with. I would love to find a service manual for this model of the radio so that I can determine the difference between it and the 2003 version. May need to find one of those sites advertising service manuals for purchase that I can trust. Most are really sketchy.

P.S. And yeah, it's getting cold out there. Our first snow is moving in tonight. Guess I will find out how the SC430 handles in the snow.

Retro, I'm not missing those Michigan winters. If I was going to do much driving in the snow up there. I would get winter tires. I even put them on my Land Rover when I lived in Michigan. They are just amazing compared to all season tires. I do like being able to run summer tires all year here in south Texas though.
