Default 2002 SC430 Audio Beep - Any ideas?

Hey all,

Finally got my A/C condenser & compressor replaced (ice cold now), power steering pump replaced, and a new (to me) skid control ECU replaced due to the VSC, Brake, ABS, ABS OFF lights going on. (Tried the OBD jumping 3/13, 4/14 to no avail)

All lights are off, car is running great. However, when I start the car, I hear this audio beep 3-4 times through the car audio speakers. Not through the VSC audio alarm that is attached to the skid control ECU. I know this because it goes up and down with the volume control button.

Inserted an audio recording of the beeping - any ideas? I recorded the entire output, it stops after about 1second, the entire recording is the entire audio alarm.

I am in talks with the dealer as well to investigate and fix it.

Thanks for the past help and future as well.

Not much traction here, but wanted to follow up. Apparently it was my Bluetooth receiver (Parrot) which is hardwired into my car. There was a short/disconnect of some sort that was causing this Parrot device to throw an error and then make this alarm sound which only came out of the drivers side front kick panel speaker.

It wasn't the VSC alarm, as it changed with the volume of the radio, and only came on when the BT device initialized on startup.

So, Bluetooth Parrot is fixed, no audio alarm, VSC lights off, A/C is working great and power steering as well. Car is great now, so happy to have all of my VSC issues fixed. (Replaced skid control ECU with one from eBay - this fixed the issues even after a zero calibration and reset).

Thanks all-

Wow, glad you were able to sort it out. I would never have thought that a third party item, especially audio related, would have caused so much to go wrong. Glad it worked out!

Good catch. It is always nice when problems can be resolved. So did you have to replace the Parrot or did you find a wiring problem?
