Spare video pin connections to Nav displav on 2002 SC430
Hi,
Everyone! I purchased a 2002 SC430 a few weeks ago for my wife with 34,000 miles on it. I want to install a backup camera. I know about NAVTOOL etc but i think there is a simple way to just interface the video. Beat sonic uses a pigtail and uses pins 2 & 14 on the 22 pin connector on the back of the nav screen. Does anyone know which pin is the V+ and which is the V-. I think with a simple relay arrangement I can use these pins to connect the 1v p/p composite video signal from the camera I have on the way.
Cheers

Check out the link to my back up camera install, starts on post 15.
I wanted to show you where I accessed 12vdc and it is only present when you place the car in reverse...
It will be easy for you to figure out the +/- video input once you start your modification.
Have you figured out how to make the video switch between the primary nav and the aux (pins 2&14) video inputs?
