But why? Because she just won me a new girl friend. Two years ago, my wife of 62 years was taken from me by COVID. I have not been doing much since, But a month ago I met (online) a truly amazing woman that I fell in love with, love at first sight, Today I drove the SC430 to visit with her 200 miles away. I didnt know what to expect, but I knew what I wanted. I found exactly what I wanted despite all my friends saying I was being scammed. I wasnt and she loves ME and the car. I drove back and in my exuberance actually hit 100 mph before I backed off. I am still on cloud nine. NO SCAM She is beautiful inside and out....the girlfriend...........and the car.
Wow! You’re a lucky man. First you found your SC and now you found your girl. Congrats and good luck.

That's awesome Jim. Sorry for your loss, that's a terrible loss. 62 years is quite the accomplishment though. I'm happy that you've found someone though.

Drain & fill for Transmission, Differential, and Power Steering Reservoir. Oil change to include filter. General exam of parts and pieces, e.g. all the dust boots on ball joints, steering rack, rear axles. Pulled off Injen (I really liked the sound) and put back on the OEM air intake system (boringly quiet under acceleration).

No current or pending OBDII codes for over a month now - a first since purchase middle of last year.

Can finally turn my attention to cosmetics. Recommendations for some discoloring of the headliner?

Try a good all purpose cleaner first. It should clean it up well.

LOL!

Jump started her....

I had a 10 day isolation inflicted during a trip to Greece, so when I got back home after about 4 weeks of being away, the battery was dead, dead, dead.

Jumped started it from my Pilot, let it run for about 30 minutes and all good.

I've got a battery minder, but I was only supposed to be away 2 weeks, which I've done before with no problems....

Brought the ‘ol 2003 SC home from its winter parking spot. Bought a new battery last November but found the new one was shot after putting it on a maintainer. Started up fine with the replacement! Had to add a little air to the tires (blindly - w/o a gauge) and made it home fine.
Tomorrow’s project - try to swap out my navigation. My screen is spiderwebbed - looks like from the inside. I bought a used one that appears better - other than fingerprints. Hopefully a protector will help there.
Next item is to continue to track down my Evap leak - grrr.
Happy Monday!! lol

Alright oneround … may I ask why taking off the Injen and putting factory back on? I just bought an Injen and plan on swapping in the next month or so. Should I return it? Bad investment? I thought the vast majority of posters indicated it was a good thing?!?

Love my Injen. Sort of bad though, as I always want to put my foot in it for the roar.
Just got some 19" Braelin BR10s with Yokohama Advan Apex 255/35R19 in a new (for me) squared setup. Used to run Carlsson 1/16 BE in a 245/275 as seen below.
Car is a 2001 RHD Soarer (SC430) JDM import... first one brought into Canada - or so I was told by Customs back in the day.

Bringing her home.

Changed my wiper blades. Noticed that mine had separated on Saturday when I washed the car. They were probably at least 5 years old.

Bought the PIAA assemblies from the 'zon. Won't be doing that again. They are on the car, but I don't like the looks of the blade. Cheap stamped steel versus very sleek styled polycarbonate of the originals. They do work well though.

So I bought a set of refills from lexuspartsnow and will refill the original blades and put them back on the car and keep the PIAA as spares.
