So the tint on the lights are a bit too dark. The only reason I had the lights tinted was because I had the previous 02-05 lights tinted. I didn't like the look of the older lights at all. Well when I got the new lights I thought I'll tint them as well.
Hand sanded the tint off. I had the body shop mix up tinted clear coat. Started with 600 grit. Then followed it up with 1200 and 2000.
I actually used metal polish instead of a buffing wheel. Rubbed it on by hand with a micro fiber towel. Did two passes. Got this tip from a buddy. I was skeptical but it actually worked great!
Been lagging on picking up the top garnish part of the taillights from the dealer. Once on it'll be spot on.
Replaced the old dried out foam on door speakers. Fitted meister r coilovers front and back. Dropped 11/2" all round. May have to lift her back up a little as we have some fairly high speed ramps locally.
Taking her on a 2,600 mile round trip from Ireland to Marbella Spain in a few weeks. Hoping weather not too cold or too hot for us to have top-down for most of the trip.
Will fiddle round with the suspension settings during the trip, need a decent run to find preferred ride.
Average age of residents is perhaps, 64. Many local people, who are still working, buy here to ensure a place to go when they retire. One household member must be at least 55. It is a "younger" community only in existence since 2006 (talk about bad timing). It is about 60% subscribed with about 1100 residences.
This weekend I clay bar'ed my car and then applied two coats of Mequire's wax. I always love how the paint just reflects the sunlight a whole lot better now that all the embedded dirt and stuff has been removed. Sorry, no pictures of my car, but its a Millenium Silver 04. I love this car and although I also have an 04 Vert, this is my go to car on a daily basis.
Looks good. Is that a custom paint color? (I imagine that you've mentioned it in the past but I've slept since then.)
Love the license plate, though considering all the work you are doing to your car, it doesn't seem to fit.
Yeah so the car was painted Ultra Sonic Blue ver 1. As for the license plate it reads "Got (hand)LZ" "Got Handles" I can see how it can be seen as Got Lazy. Haha

After watching a few YouTube videos I ordered the needed items and set out to remover the wiper scratches on my older SC. The videos were right, it took about 3 hours. Mostly the scratches are gone; it may require Pass II to get it much better. The problem is, seeing the target area. The remaining scratches are very faint.
This is the before picture
for comparison, the after shot.
It really does not show up too well, but the scratches are gone. That and the surface seems much more reflective.
I have a Dremel multitool, purchased two Craftsman felt polishing pads (didn't really fit the multitool but worked when tightened down) cerium oxide, plastic razor blades, and a bunch of shop towels. You can get a prepackaged kit to do it. Check YouTube video "How to Remove Fine Windshield Wiper Scratches with Less Mess and Less Heat"

You're right, I got that wrong and missed what the hand was for.
