Holy cow, that's amazing! Unfortunately, floors like that just won't work in Canada, unless you never use the garage in the winter, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of having one in the first place.....
I decided that my 2003 SC430 needed a better living environment.. so.. rainy/cool mornings here
kept me off the golf course and in the garage. I have a few more things to do before my
"project" is completed..but so far I think my car is a bit happier!
They are actually a plastic tile available from SWISSTRAX.. check out their web page.. they show some awesome
garages..Installation is easy.. I did my garage in less that 6 hrs.. by myself.
@alruner - amazing garage! I plan to do some overdue projects in my garage in 2019, and flooring like yours just might be added to the list. Not sure I should thank you, or flame you for spending more of my money...
@mandygig - a buddy of mine just did his garage with the Costco tiles, he also said it was quite easy. I'll have to keep an eye on their website to see if it ever goes on sale.
Do the tiles or rolls allow for air space under the tiles? Our slab has a moisture problem (that none the experts has been able to solve) and if I cover up the floor (with something like linoleum) it will grow mold under it. However if there is an air space under it, that should alleviate the moisture problem.
Nice video - does anyone know what wheel mfr might be on the silver SC (the second SC's from the ISF)? Those are something I might be interested in for my own...
Harold57,
The tiles I used are perforated. They have slits in them, approx 1/8"wide by 1/2" long. Additionally, they do not lay flat on the floor, as they are
5/8" thick, with a channel pattern on the underside. That allows the water to run under the floor for cleaning. Each tile is 15 3/4" square, and they
snap together.. Installation is easy..
Swisstrax also makes a solid tile, that does not have ventilation. It is easier to wash down, and more expensive.
I hope this helps..

Applied a thin coat of Shin-Etsu grease to the weather stripping. Keeps it nice and soft. If you have a wind noise issue this stuff may fix your problem. It is a Honda Part number 08798-9013. You can order it online. I have used it on the weather stripping on the LS for years. Great thread over on the LS Forum. I am sure Rick uses it both on the 600HL and his SC.
