Congrats on the sale, though unless you're planning to buy a newer/nicer SC430, you may end up regretting it. I sold my 2009 Pebble Beach a couple of years ago and almost immediately realized I had made a huge mistake. These cars tend to "get into your blood..." There definitely aren't any other cars available with quite this combination of style, refinement and reliability...
When I bought my SC in 2013, I was taking a break from motorcycle ownership. In the past two years, I've acquired a GL1800 F6B and CB1100. I find myself riding the bikes more and driving the SC less.
I wasn't actively looking to sell the SC. My friend, who has owned two SC430's in the past, asked if I would sell mine to him. It's all good. He and his wife bought a great car and I have more garage space.
Ya back in your building yet? Will you be back in before your retirement party?
Dennis
Dennis: Unfortunately no... It will be months before the building is inhabitable, at least the office spaces. Possibly by the time I retire (again)! In the meanwhile, we are set up in Bld D (do you remember that old building from your time at Offutt?)...
I was never assigned to Offutt. I got all the good assignments. SHAPE, Belgium, Tehran, Iran, Kabul, Afghanistan, Algiers, Algeria and SINOP, Turkey, The Pentagon. We stayed at the Fam Camp out by the lake a few times when we were RVing and visiting my sisters in Omaha.

i certainly remember Bldg D, the old Martin Bomber building. They built the B-26 and later the B-29. I read it will be taken down soon...just glad they didn’t do it yet.
this is where the Enola Gay and Bockscar were built. Those two aircraft saved thousands of American lives and ended WWII.
those two aircraft were built special...and Rosie the riveters knew something was up with these aircraft!
i believe it had two miles of assembly line, all indoors.
my memories of bldg D include driving our Government vehicles around the inside of the building...they had roads in there...it’s where I picked up my military issue equipment, like parkas and flight suits.
They had a gym and the education center, to include classrooms from Metro Community College.
It had places to eat.
Did you know there was a tunnel that went under the runway to either mod A or mod B? I went down the stairs once but the doors were sealed shut...also, Gen Curtiss E. Lemay started the auto hobby shops right there at Offutt.
on the weekends, he and other wrench turners would race their hot rods on the runway! Crazy stuff!
could you imagine us taking out our SC430s for a run on that 11,703ft runway?
we could hammer down for the first mile and still have a mile to stop!
No, it was a completely random meeting. I was acting as Chauffeur to SHMBO and the Blue Car was parked at her destination. I walked off to get Coffee, came back 10mins later and it was gone, it did pass me as I was walking with Malarkey, my Bearded Collie (you can see him in the rear of SLY if you look) it had been completely cleaned by then! Sadly, I didn't meet the other owner.
