Default my custom grille

I just completed and installed my custom grille that I etched designs into. Took a while with the detail.

I know this is quite unusual. I hope you guys like it. Had a few chips I had to fill.

Let's see a view 10 feet back.

This is a pretty subtle design so at ten feet you won't see very much detail. In fact this was difficult to photograph. The detail was either lost or showed all my mistakes. This is the first time I am etching the grille and found out that the black plastic underneath shows through if I sandblast it excessively.

It all starts off using a Cricut cutter. This amazing machine cuts your chosen design. Then I apply the cut vinyl design to the surface and sandblast the design into the surface. It's a long and tedious process. But I'm retired and have a lot of time and imagination (scary). Check out my post on; What did you do to ……(my custom grille)

It's hard to capture the effect with a picture as the camera tends to accentuate the LED more than your eye. It looks pretty cool at night and you can play with RGB colors.

Yes, it's totally separate from the vehicle lighting system and controlled from inside the vehicle. You can set the color and brightness via a remote control.

Had some issues with the old tint. Had it removed. Went 50% all the way around. Oh, and also re-torqued my steering rack.

I was considering 35%. I have this on my commuter but it gets kind of dark at night and I wanted to do the windshield matching. Less chance of getting pulled over as well, lol.

Replaced 2 front tires today. Replaced the rears last weekend.
Since I have the wheels off, I tried on the Supra TT caliper & rotor (just received) to compare with the original set and it's obviously look much bigger.

Rear tire

How the car sits with the new tires.

Comparing the original caliper & the new Supra TT caliper

and the larger rotor

Default Preventative maintenance

Had the valve cover gaskets, the engine air filter and the sparkplugs renewed at 120k miles. I did the air filter, had the rest of the work done at the Lexus dealer. The old plugs were is fairly good shape.
The Lexus dealer gave me a better price than the Toyota dealer. If you are NE, PM me for the name of the dealer.
When I was picking the car up I saw a SC430 that needed a $5k ECU changed
