Completed 4 wheel alignment. Right rear shock was leaking so I ordered new OEM rear shocks and parts from Megizip in Japan.
2: 48530-80333 Absorber Assy, Shock Rear RH/LH $127.09 Each
2: 90948-01083 Cushion, Rear Shock Absorber No 1 $4.44 Each
2: 90948-01082 Cushion, Rear Shock Absorber N02 $$12.81 Each
2: 90387-12050 Collar (For Rear Support to Rear Shock Absorber RH/LH $3.92 Each
2: 48341-30080 Bumper, Rear Spring RH/LH $29.54 Each

Total : $395.10
Shipping: $115.59
TOTAL: $466.19

By contrast when we did my son's 05 SC a couple of months ago we could not get the shocks from Japan so we had to get them from Disc Monster parts and the shocks with shipping and tax where $471.15 and then another $117.15 for parts from Megizip in Japan so out the door for $588.30. So it pays to order from Megizip and I will have my parts in a week from Japan.

I hope your next alignment will be free because you'll need one after you replace your shocks.

Spent a $140.00 having paintless dent repair done after some girl yesterday lost control of the door she was opening and put a quarter size ding in the drivers side, rear quarter panel just in front of the gas tank lid. Saw it when it happened but was standing 20 feet away on the other side of the car and didn't realize it until about an hour later when I saw it at another stop.

Nothing left now except a memory and a small scratch in my clear. And a ding in my wallet. 🤨

These are repairable for $60 and some patience. The replaceable foam surround has perished/petrified. Don't throw them away. I am in Sydney and would otherwise pick them up but our borders are closed (

Default timimg belt and water pump

hi,
Just got the car 2 weeks and did the major tune up...
water pump, thermostat, radiator cap replaced, timing and serpentine belt, spark plugs and the tube seals, valve cover gasket, all fluids drain and replaced, cam and crank seals (except brake because it still look very clean), cabin and air filters..
most of the work was done by my mechanics, especially the timing belt. We had done this on the 2004 LS430 UL last month. Only difference was the atf-ws vs atf t-iv. Coolant was drain at the radiator and the engine block.

I use one of the Lexus Parts websites to find the P/N's and then do a search on ebay, etc., to find the best price. The exploded diagrams of these dealerships Parts List are invaluable in part identification as well as price. NEVER pay dealer prices. But it's a great place to start.

https://www.lexuspartsnow.com
https://oemvehicleparts.com
https://parts.lexus.com

These websites are a place to start. I do not endorse or badmouth either. I mainly use them for research on pricing as well as the exploded view diagrams. But I will say that the website for OEM Vehicle Parts has always acted wonky for me.

It's not for those who prefer the classic look of the SC430 but this is my attempt to create a bigger rear spoiler to match the body kit..

Instead of waiting for Figs to release their beefier rear chassis bar for the SC430, I made my own from parts I have laying around.
I pretty much double it up.
I don't know how much this helps but it makes me feel better that I did do something for the car.
