Scone, those wheels look really good on your SC - well, on any SC, IMO. Of all the non-stock SC wheels I've seen here on the forums, these are easily in my top two or three favorites. The spoke pattern looks very similar to the wheels on my RX F Sport (one of the reasons I chose it over the non-F Sport) though will be a bit challenging to keep looking clean.

Plus, I'll be able to more easily recognize your SC driving around now, just in case our paths cross over the summer (I'm in Renton) - that could be me waving and honking at you!

You guys ready to be jealous?

From Russia, with love.

I've done a lot of work to make my SC430 track ready. To be honest, I think these are overkill at this point. But I can't wait to install and try them out!

Anyone have some pilot sports laying around?

Also, for anyone in Ohio, Michigan, or Illinois, expect to see me here: https://www.atomcarshow.com/

It's the unofficial official Toyota car show. It's organized by Atom Ray, a designer at the Toyota North America Calty design center. A lot of Toyota engineers will be there, myself included.

Busy week. I replaced the clip that secures the rearview mirror. It was shaking quite a bit, especially with the top down. This feels much tighter.

While I was in there, I ran the microphone from my GTA bluetooth kit to the map light housing. I prefer the look of this to it being on the outside of the A pillar. Sound quality seems to be fine.

I pulled out the seats and most of the interior trim.

I replaced the foam gaskets in the rear speakers and subwoofer. They were in pretty good shape but this should ensure they sound good for as long as I own the car. My ecru interior was showing its age (sun bleaching, stains, even some nicks) so I decided to refinish everything with the SEM Color Coat. Here's a couple of the worst 'before' photos:

I sprayed just about every leather surface as well as some vinyl and plastic.

While that was curing, I shampooed the carpet and cleaned the seatbelts. I started running an HDMI and AUX cable from my NavTool to the cockpit. I'll finish that up tomorrow and can start rebuilding the cabin. Now if NavTool would get back to me to troubleshoot the screen mirroring ...

I thought I saw it on this thread, but I have just searched for four hours and cannot find the description of how to debadge the grill. Anyone know where I saw it???

Depends on the model year. Early ones had the grille badge held in place by a single screw from rear of grille. You only needed to removed the screw, pull off the badge and black out a small mounting tab on the grille.

Later ones had the emblem molded integral to the grill.

My O2 was fully debadged before most people had any idea what car it was. So many people would try slyly take a closer look at the gas station or parking lot to figure out what kind of car it was. Even police would get right up next to look inside the windows. I was pretty entertaining to watch from a distance.

So my 06 may not be able to be debadged?

I had the entire front end of my 2006 apart a few months ago to do all of the bulbs in the headlight fixtures including fog lights and side marker lights. When you take the grill off and you look at it from behind Look behind the emblem. There are little clip things if I remember correctly and I remember thinking at the time I wanted to just take it off but I saved it for another time. I’m pretty positive it can be taken off. These clips will likely break when you take them off they are melted in place or glued in place, but they can be broken off or cut off with a Dremel. And if you change your mind and put the emblem back on it looks very possible to do as well.

The grill is very easy to get off.. those fastener pin/clip things on top can be taken off and the grill literally pulls up and off. Just do it slowly to make sure it doesn’t flex too much and possibly crack. I was actually pleasantly surprised.

Thanks. That will be the first thing I do as soon as I get it home from the seller. Hoping to pick up the car in about two weeks.

I believe when you take the 06+ front logo out then you'll left with a blank oval.
