I believe when you take the 06+ front logo out then you'll left with a blank oval.
From what I remember when I had the grill off and then my hands it looked like the awful Lexus logo sort of fit around the grill. I think the grill is complete behind the oval although I never did take it off but now I’m curious. I’m going to be changing my daytime running lights again on my SC since I don’t like the ones I put in I’m going to install LEDs this time so I’ll probably have a good look at it this weekend And I’ll take some pictures.

this is correct. The 06+ grills have a plastic outline of the logo and the 02-05 grills don't fit the 06+ bumper (I tried). The best you can do is a black lexus badge or an aftermarket grill.
Yesterday replaced inner tie rods. No more shake at 60+. Today refoamed the five speakers. Had a little surprise when I popped the passenger door panel off. I guess the rag was to stop the rattle sound.
Today I finally got the "Maintenance required" light off. The instructions dont seem to be in the owners manual, but there are instructions in my LS-430 manual and they work just fine.
I am working on getting all the lights extinguished. When I started there were all 8 of them on. I am down to only 5 now. The low pressure one will be next, just waiting on new tires. The VSC and wiper fluid lights I am not concerned about. The Check Engine light could be almost anything so I am not worried about it.
I fixed the peeling paint on the front bumper by just adjusting how I responded to questions about it. I now just tell people, "That is what happens when you hit 180MPH". That usually ends the question.

I reset the ECU again today using the method that's floating around the forum.
I thought I don't have to do it again after I did the transmission pressure mod & ECU remap but I was wrong. I put on my calendar to remind me to do it again every 2 months.
I installed the raporski reinforcements, installed an aftermarket racing seat, did some weight reduction, cleaned it up, and at the ATOM car show. Indoor spot!

First spot in the lineup right at the bottom of the image.
It's a huge event and really cool I got the opportunity to flex this coupe.
It has daizen bushings, Cusco underbody brace, gs front bar, isf rear bar, lowered on coilovers, strut bars in front and rear, rear underbody brace, trd door checks, poly steering bushings, and lowered just a hair.
It took me second look also. At first glance, I just thought that it was an older British car with a higher roof. Then when I looked back over, I realized that it was Andreiu's car. Looks sharp, BTW Andreiu.

Are you going to replace the passenger seat also?
I bought a reclining leather racing seat from summit for 400$ and fabricated a seat bracket to use for track days. The event is race inspired Toyotas.
I tried to remove the passenger seat, but it has some wiring harnesses taped in and I ran out of time before the event.
I don't plan to replace the passenger. Just remove for track days. But I might get a hard back racing seat and side mount brackets so I can adjust the tilt to support my legs better.
how many hours/days did you spend to clean the car? it looks like new.
It doesn't take long. I had it detailed but had a lot of rain and grime that washed away the wax. It took me about 1.5 hours just before the show started.
Spray bottle with soapy water to get the dust off the paint, degreaser for the wheels and bumper bugs, armor all for the trim pieces and engine bay, some tire shine, and turtle spray wax.
Getting the carpets and engine bay steamed professionally really helped. Everything else, just diy.
