Purchased a black 02 sc430
Last thanksgiving weekend, I totaled my car. Had a 15 year old Toyota celica that ran like it's brand new even after 200k miles.
Asked my personal mechanic for input on what car to get, he suggested Lexus.
I've always had the sc430 on my radar, was able to get a nice deal on an 02 a couple of weeks ago.
Very happy. It has a little over 180k, but like the celica, can't tell at all. It drives like a brand new car.
It's well maintained, 1 owner, garage kept, and I have all the Maintenance records.
I love this car

Congratulations Remy, you are going to enjoy this beauty. I had a 2002 and had it for seven years and it was excellent. Just recently bought a 2007. Once you own one you're hooked.

The coolest thing is the compliments, even when I least expect it. Like last week when I was filling up my car, the gas attendant came out to take out the trash, saw my car and gave me a .
And literally, just about 10 minutes ago, another coworker told me my car looks sweet!

Looks good Remy. I have a very similar color scheme (same paint and interior colors, different L's) and really love it also. I too am in the Dallas area (there are several of us here on this forum actually), I'm NE of Dallas.
Welcome and congratulations!

Congratulations! I know how you feel. I've had my 2003 for 6 months now and I just LOVE it. This is going to sound twee but, for the first few weeks, it caused me to remember what it was like anticipating Christmas as a child. Everything about the world seemed so exciting!
Mine had done bang on 100K km and was also in immaculate condition. One owner (woman? - perfect round stiletto hole in driver's floor mat). Mine is standard ecru with black interior.
Careful when you pull into a kerb. The car is wider than I am used to and I shredded the passenger side alloy rim on day 2, and miscalculated again on the driver's side just a few weeks ago. Ouch! Makes me wonder how the previous owner managed to avoid doing the same in 10+ years and 100K km.
Enjoy!

Oh well, basically, just wanted to say Thank you very much guys. Not only am I loving the car, I appreciate the friendly welcoming party.
@Dommo, yeah, that is the weird thing I told my friends. I've been having a hard time gauging the distance from the curb. Many times I feel I'm about to shred the curb, then I get out of the car and I'm 3 ft from it. lol
And the one time I thought I had clearance, I hear the dreaded scratching noise hitting the curb.
But I've been really enjoying the car. Last week, I couldnt sleep, and it was around 2 am, and I decided to just go for a ride. lol...

Congrats, Remy. Your car looks great, love the color combo! I bought a 2007 a couple weeks ago and am also in the Dallas area, east of where texsexlex is located. I'm impatiently waiting for the warmer weather this afternoon and tomorrow to get out with the top down!
