Cup holders
I found the cheap fix for the design flaw of the cup holders in our SC.
Bough these cups at Dollar Tree, they fit perfectly in the cup holder.
Now my coffee cup, my water bottles and/or my favorite soda cans won't not tip over during the sharp turn or sudden brake.
They're stored neatly in the glove compartment when not in use.

Now these, I would have to be in the hunt for. Yes whatever I put in on the cup holders do not stay up. Thank you!

Umm, a little disappointed, but beggars can't be choosers. I would think someone could reverse engineer SOME kind of cup holding springy thingy (I recall the old tartan chome ashtrays that had sand in the bottom to slow it from sliding?
Someting that would restore my faith in Lexus when they did these shoddy grip "cup holder" things...perhaps something like those camping cups that you see in REI with three plastic Russian doll nesting folding flat when not pulled up to use? I guess a bit of velcro to the bottom of said cup holder?
Methinks the SC's folding wood cover and pop up "butler" cup holder idea was to do something similar to the then unique movement of the folding roof? I think cup holders suck, personally (I prefer milllion dollar McD's coffee lawsuits)!
Why do I have to be the one to think of experiments that might be giants?

I actually like the IDEA of the foldout cup holders. I've actually been given compliments when I bust them out at the drive through lane when the burger jockey hands me a Liter of Cola (hehe. SuperTroopers refernce). They were like, "Whoa. That's pretty cool." If only they knew the truth behind the Achilles Heel of the SC430...

I was able to find 10 of these cups at Dollar Tree near home. In fact, they are the snack holders of the water bottles. I believe you can find them in the local Dollar Tree stores. If you can't find them, PM me your address, I will ship them to you, you just have to pay for the shipping.
