5000 vs. 7500 mile service
I drive my SC regularly under normal driving conditions. Therefore, I was planning on having service done every 7500 miles which is the norm these days for newer cars. Of course, my dealer recommends service every 5000 miles based on "local driving conditions" here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Seems to me he is just looking to line his pocket a bit more for no real reason. I've even had dealers recommend 3000 mile service which really seems absurd.
Why does practically every manufacturer recommend 7500 miles under normal circumstances but every dealer seem to recommend something more frequent? How can they do that with a straight face? Don't they think we can read?
