Little incandescent bulb in the high beam
I noticed that there is the little incandescent bulb in the high beam headlight?
What purpose does it serve? Anyone knows?

During the day that is the Daylight Running Lamp. The bulb basically has two filaments. During the day the shorter, less bright filament is illuminated. When you click onto the Highbeam, the other filament illuminates produces a brighter light. If your DRL's are off, a previous owner might have had them deactivated via the C-Best (Lexus Customization) Settings.

No, I am not talking about the high beam filaments. I am talking about the small incandescent bulb just sits above the filament. That light only lit when you turn on the headlight. I changed it to the LED and it looks pretty cool.

From my relocation, I don't remember having another bulb in the high beam housing. Can you supply a photo? What year is your SC? I switched all my interior and exterior lights to Bright White LED's. The high beams needed a decoder. I purchased everything from iJDMtoy.com. The change makes the SC look more modern, for sure.
