Angry Dents in wheels - constant vibration

Hello all, I ave a 2003 SC430 with less than 25,000 miles on it. To make a long story short, my tire guy tells me that all four rims have some degree of dents in them (pot hole roads in northeast Pennsylvania),,,,,,,,,,, and because of that, try though they may, they can't quite get the vibration out of the car. They tell me other local owners have the same problem, which apparently is compounded by the fact the tires are high performance, without a whole lot of sidewall.
I was going to buy new rims, but what makes me think they won't have issues driving on theses same roads!!!! It occurred to me that maybe going to a smaller wheel, and they putting on a tire with more sidewall, might improve things,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,??????
Any thoughts? Anyone else have this problem with dinged up wheels? (I assume that because of their composition they are not repairable - assuming I can find someone to even repair them)! tks, Ray in PA (2003 SC430): egads:

Try taking the wheels to a wheel repair specialist and see how much it might cost to have them straightened. Cannot hurt to ask. Now if you are trying to solve the 65 mph vibration issue, think you may have to live with it. Known problem with our SCs and the idea is to drive faster or slower but not at 65 mph.

I have never had an issue at 65. Not sure what you mean. I have an 06 with Tourmaline wheels and drive 65 all the time without issue.

A bunch of us have noticed slight vibration even with perfectly fine OEM wheels when cruising at about 65 mph. Above that it gets better and below, it is better too. If you do not have it, that is great. Too many of us have this minor issue and some just live with it ( like me ) and others go to great lengths to eradicate it. It is just not a big enough issue for me to make any further effort to solve it. Hey just drive at 80 and have a radar detector and the waze app running on your phone - the cup holder holds most phones well.

Myself and others have had luck using the Hunter force balance machine. See if your tire shop has a Hunter machine.
