I recently bought a 2006 SC430. I have paired my iphone several times and while I can make. receive calls, the person on the other end is unable to hear me. I am all but certain that the car's mic is not working. In addition, I cannot get the garage door opener to sync up, nor can I get the map/voice to operate. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum. I also have an '06 and iPhone 5S. My iPhone has paired with no problems. I also had problems with a newer Chamberlain garage door opener. Turned out I needed a Liftmaster 855LM HomeLink® Repeater Kit to program the Homelink in the car. The last issue was loading my contacts list. I had to use an older Android phone (Samsung S3) to upload my contacts.

Just to complete the electronics, I added a VAIS Tech BT interface to the radio to play my iPhone music and a NavTool interface with the Nav System to display a backup camera.

Try these things,
First make sure your iPhone is not set for private calls when connected to the car. I don't think it is but check it to be sure.

Next, pair a different phone, see if you have the same result.
