Broken Latch on Coin Pocket Cover
Club Lexus friends: Has anyone experienced a problem with the spring/latching mechanism on the small coin pocket located on the center console?
I'm very close to committing to purchase a 2007 SC430 from a mid-west dealer, and the only real flaw with the car is that the coin door latch is broken (so the coin door will not stay shut). This seems like a minor problem, but with the cost of Lexus parts, I figured I'd better ask the forum for thoughts before plunging ahead. Would it be possible to simply replace the spring-operating cover, or do you have to replace the entire console piece it's mounted to?
To be honest, I'd be sort of tempted to simply glue it shut, since I honestly have never used this coin pocket on any of the past (three) SC430s.
Thoughts? Thanks!

Thanks for the advice! I ended up passing on this car due to a number of other issues, but it's good to know that the spring-loaded door is not a difficult fix. The hunt continues for a low-mileage 2006-2010!
