Hoping that somebody from Lexus reads these forums regularly, what exterior color choices do you think they should add/remove/create for the 2004 model year SC 430. This car has such personality that it would be even better if they offered a few more color choices. IF there are any dealers monitoring, let us know when you get the info for the 04 colors. Hopefully there will be some changes since they have had the same ones I believe since the car was introduced. It will depend on the color changes if any for 04 if I end up getting an 03 or 04. Of course, a change away from the pie plate wheels would be a welcome one as well.
Anyway, my choice for new exterior colors would be:
A bright blue metallic. Similar or even the "Spectra Blue" color they had on the GS and IS two years ago. That color was so rare that they could bring it back as a new one for the SC.
Black Cherry Metallic. I would suggest getting rid of the amethyst and replacing it with the Black Cherry Pearl or similar color.
Graphite: A nice charcoal grey color would look stunning.
Root Beer Bottle Brown. I am not a "brown" exterior color fan but picture a nice brownish/black metallic color on this car, with the saddle interior. It would be rare, daring, and set the car apart.
Anyway....any other thoughts? Should I write to Lexus Corp and suggest these or do you think the colors for 04 are long since picked by the dealer and consumer "focus" groups they hold?
SO..WHAT ARE YOUR COLOR SUGGESTIONS???

...just like I said before, when we did a wish list for the 2003...
I'd love to see a Solar Yellow SC430
....AND They really need to move those hard to reach trunk and gas release buttons to the door like they are in most other cars these days to be easy reach instead of a far reach ;(

That blue/green/purplish paint that changes color as you move past it (or as it moves past you).
Not that I would want to drive it, but I think it would look best on an SC430.

I'm perfectly happy with the color of my car, but just wish Lexus would be more open and flexible with accomodating requests for custom interior /exterior color combinations, trim combinations etc., and this should extend to the other higher end models as well, like the LS or LX.

It's call Graphite Grey Pearl, available for the Lexus IS300. It's less common on the road than the regular brilliant silver's you see everywhere on many other cars, and still hides dirt pretty well.
