Hello,
Just wanted to let everyone know that I traded in my 2002 SC430 Silver/Ecru / 10K miles for a 2003 Silver/Saddle.
It cost me $7250 to drive the car for 10 months. I think that is pretty reasonable for a car of this stature. I know I could not get a lease that cheap.
The dealership did try to get me to go into a lump payment lease at the last minute, instead of paying cash. Ultimately I was going to be paying 3.5% interest on the difference. The money guy could not explain to me where I would get a 3.5% benefit. Oh well, I respect them for trying to squeeze a little more juice on the way out. Maybe I just don't understand.
It looks sweet. I love the color combo.
The new ride does not feel as quick as the '02, but I think that is because the computer needs to figure out that I have a heavy foot and the car needs to break in a bit.
The gas mileage is also a little worse right now, 17 mpg verses 20 mpg. Again I think a little breaking in will help that.
The car has the new run-flats. The ride seems a bit less jumpy and a little smoother over rough road. It could be my imagination.
No buzz in the doors from the stereo.(yet....)

Congratulations, I wish I could trade in for a new Lexus every year too.
From reading the posts in this forum, I think Lexus have fixed many of the little issues they have with the 02 models.
My 03 still have the runflats and I didn't notice the rattles people have complained about. No buzz on door from the stereo for me either. I still love my ecru leather and they are still in pristine conditon after 6 months. I hope I won't have problems with them in the future as you do. I love the saddle leather too but my favorite exterior colour is Midnight Cherry (Amethyst in the U.S.), and ecru matches with it better. Besides the Amethyst/ecru combination is not availabe in Canada. Enjoy your new car !!
