Just purchased a 2009 SC430 Pebble Beach Edition. Looking forward to participating on the forum.

First question is how often should the struts(shocks) be replaced? I have 85,000 miles and the front tires seem to slightly wobble when I go over a bump. Other than this, I just love this car (so does the wife).

All the goodies that came with the car are missing including the floor mats. Bummer. Other than that the car is pristine.

I would have someone go over the front end suspension. The SC doesn't have struts. It can be bushings, tie rods, or even ball joints but not likely your shocks. I replaced my ball joints at 65K miles but that's not to say that it's your problem. The good news is that when everything is tight up front you won't have any complaints. Welcome to Club Lexus and enjoy your SC!

Welcome to the club. You will have all your questions answered here at the forum

I don't think there is a rule of thumb on shocks other then the obvious. Are they doing there job. I would look in your owners manual and see what the recommendations are. You will need to have the timing belt done and other maintenance items brake fluid power steering fluid etc. Did you get owners manual when you got the car. You can go to lexus drivers.com and register your vin to get the service records of the car. Its good to know what was done to the car since new. You can also request a new owners manual for free. There may also be a air bag recall on the passenger side airbag Check the recall list at lexus drivers.com after you register there.

If the ride is not good check to see if your running run-flat tires they really ride very harsh most of us change them out.

Good luck

Thanks for the info.
I did order the manuals from Lexus. Also downloaded them.
Tires are 1 year old but look new. No irregular wear apparent.

Run flat tires are notorious for harsh ride . Significant improved ride with non run-flats. You might consider when you need to replace your tires down the rode .

Welcome to the Club. You'll like it here.
Mine also has run-flat tires - but I have no complain. Guess California roads are less pot holes?

I have a spare set of Pebble Beach floor mats that came out of my 2009 (had two sets with the car, and forgot to give the second set back to the dealer when I traded it in). I've been using them in my non-Pebble Beach 2006, but would consider swapping them out for new standard floor mats if they would be of better use to you. They are still very clean and lightly used. You can PM me to discuss if you'd like.
