Default Iphone 6 plus holder?

I recently upgraded to an iphone 6 plus and just now realized I cant use the cup holder since the phone is too big.
I also tried putting it against my car's gps and it seemed like it was a perfect fit, until I made a sharp turn and the phone fell off.

Anyone here with iphone 6 plus have suggestions on where to put the phone when using it as gps?
Or if you're having to use phone holder, which one?

Check out the Kuda mounts (Kuda USA). I installed one in my SC and bolted a Slip-Grip molded mount to it for my iPhone 6 with a Mophie battery pack. Works like a charm.

Seems like I remember someone providing a link to some cup mounted phone mounts. (Basically, the mount fits in the cup holder and holds the phone.)

I would appreciate it if anyone can remember what type of cup.
The kuda is nice, but saw its kinda pricy.

IMO, this is the way to go and it keeps the phone cool. I have them in all my cars.

I thought about those also but I dont like to use cases on iphones cause it makes them bulky. I know, risky with iphone 6. But I've always never used phone cases.
So I dont want to attach the magnet directly on my phone.
Also, not sure about cool air blowing directly on the phone. I fear some sort of condensation inside the phone eventually.

Liking the new big phone, but kinda hating that I cant find a place to set it without most likely buying a phone holder.

I modified one of the Ebay Qi Wireless chargers to fit my HTC One M9 (slightly smaller than an iPhone 6+. Link below... post #90. Allows me to keep my phone in view for turn by turn directions without taking my eyes off the road, and even use the "Ok Google," command to get info on the fly, take and make phone calls, write emails via voice command, and even play music via bluetooth to the radio. I recommend the A/C vent holders for sure.

I use this. Spring loaded holder for easy mount/dismount and configurable to any cars setup.

High quality construction, this spot is perfect, I've been using it for about a year in this location without issue.

John, how does the suction cup hold up? Hard to believe for the space available.

The kit comes with a suction cup and the little tab as depicted in my first pic. You can stick the little tabs any where. The spot I choose for mine is functionally perfect and has been there for about a year and hasn't come unstuck yet. The mount base detaches from the little tab in about a second in case you wanted to use the mount base on another car that has another little tab or suction cup, they are interchangeable.

How do you affix the little pad. Double sided tape? Epoxy?

It comes with a 3M type double sided tape installed already, just peel and stick.
