Default Question on Teins CS Coilovers

I have Teins Cs on the car with the control box mounted. The front drivers side strut is leaking. I have called Tein to see about a rebuild($110.00) but the turnaround time is 3 weeks out and to purchase a new one($450.00) and would even take longer to get it. I would like to know if I just replace, all 4 coilovers with a different brand is there any Resale Value in the Teins that are currently on the car? My daughter drives the car so a 3 week down time is not an option, just want to know if there is any value in the coilovers with a leaking strut or what is a good value for a used set if I have it rebuilt myself?

Thanks for your help

IMHO.......If Tein quoted you $110 to fix/rebuild, it's worth it......If you replace the entire set or1, it will cost you more of $450-1000.......3 wks is nothing, loan her your extra car......lol

$110 to fix/rebuild is cheap. I think you still need to add in the shipping cost.

I have the same Teins Comfort Sport coil-overs and absolutely love it. I think you can still get $500 for the used set even one has leak.

Assuming this can be installed in my 02 SC, I am interested if you decide to let them go, even with the leaking strut. PM me please.
