You were lied to. Don't deal with that person.

LOL.....Some people speak out of thr A**........From 02-2010, the dimensions of the car is almost identical except for subtle changes from 02-05 vs 06-10.....lights, grill, etc.....

My SC did not come with backseat legroom. Maybe that was an option?

Dimension change was minor, but it made a difference: the 2002-2005 models were five millimeters or 1/4 inch shorter than 2006-2010. That just crossed the boundary from compact to midsize definition. The 2002-2005 can be legally parked in the "Compact Cars Only".

So, there is indeed a slight difference in dimensions. I wonder if anyone here ever used a tape measure to actually measure the distance between gas pedal and the front of back seats on two cars (say 02 vs 08) simultaneously, by the same person. I know everyone here agrees that even on 06-10 SCs there is little legroom. But without measuring we don't know for sure.

according to wiki, the thing that changed was the overall length of the car... 18mm or .7in.
Everything else is the same.
the length change could be due to the changes in the front end body panels.
