What is the stupidity index of light output from a stock fog H3 using HID?
Desperately trying to not 'pimp my lights', I have scoured the posts here and can't find anything relatively recent on HID/LED fitting for a 2002 type SC430 stock H3 fog. I keep putting my finger on HID 4300K units on Amazon, but can't tell if they're junk (used to be ballasts were very expensive). Even excusing the warranty/return arrangements if it goes bad in 3 mos (i.e I kick myself), no one seems to have done a fog light with HID (or even LED) with comments about the beam pattern. It seems LED is uneven in things like this, but HID is a double labor pain to put in. I personally want 4,300K, keeping it close to sunlight (and don't tell me 7000 uber cool light is the equivalent of sun, at least not here in N.E). Short question: does anyone know if with a 35 or 50 w. ballast, would the fogs simply look like a dual light off road buggy just got squashed under my front bumper/i.e 'overdriving' even the stock HID low beams? Anyone?
