I hesitate to actual type this out loud.

My 2002 model year actual date of birth at the Kanji (Kanto Jidosha) assembly site in Japan, was April 8, 2001. So it’s coming up on 17 years old. I hesitate because the TP sensors, in all four tires, are still functioning correctly today. I know cold affects battery life very negatively and can substantially reduce battery life. My SC has lived in the Southwest its entire life in the USA, a very temperate area. First being sold in Scottsdale, AZ (less than a year) then the remainder, garaged in San Diego.

While nothing lasts forever the sensors in my car have done their duty. Should they fail in the near future I see it as part of the cost of owning/maintaining this fine automobile.

For those who think, or suggest, that disconnecting a safety system of the car is OK, I think you’re being penny wise and pound foolish.
