Default Brembo-front-oem-brake-pad

Hi all,

My 04 is almost at 25k miles and my front brakes are at 3MM I will replace them within the year most likely but I wanted to see if anyone had experience with the brakes in the above. I have the green ones on the car which were on it when purchased and that is what I thought was the only OEM option. These Brembos are priced well, does anyone know if they are legit? My ISF takes Brembo branded brakes and rotors so I figured it was possible these are legit.

Thanks in advance!

Personally, I would buy them from a supplier I know I could trust. There are way to many knock offs being sold on eBay. They do a great job on making the packing look authentic. I don't know if this is authentic or not. Brakes are something I would not chance. What if the friction material delaminates just when you need stop? Just my two cents

I agree with everything Cole stated!

my SC430 has the Power Stop Z23 carbon fiber / ceramic pads. They stay cool, excellent stopping power and produce very little dust. I have installed them (Z23 or Z26) installed on all my cars and my relatives cars too. Seven total and no complaints from anyone.

My vote is go with OEM or Akebono brake pads. I have used both and can tell no difference but have not had any issues with either over the years. Be aware that many high performance brake pads are designed to work best at high temperatures and under normal street driving conditions they may not work as well as pads designed and compounded for normal street driving.

Akebono ceramics with R1 Concepts Premium series drilled and slotted rotors. 15k miles or so and I still really like them.
