I was just at Wallyworld and I am amazed at the error free LEDs being sold. I need to change my signals since I already have LED tails. But they are steep, $10+ up. Likewise I need to change my front signals to error free LEDs. Anybody who has proven a certain brand?

i am going over there to buy some flowers...will check out the leds while I am there!
I showed my wife and she too liked the LEDs much better. I plan to work on swapping the other LEDs, but want to test some different ways to keep the dash lights off and no hyper flash.
Thank you for the kind words about my T/A, she is fun to drive due to raw power, seat of the pants feeling!
One of these days, I would still like to do my rear back up camera DIY. I have torn down the back when I did my antenna mod and am sure I can do it again. Plus there are a few DIYs here. Only constraint is still the total investment needed. I think it is still around $600 for the components by the time you are done. Any better option-pricing out there?
. So its going to be around $210, not anywhere close to $600. IMO its the best bang for buck, as it saves you lot of rear bumper scratches and accident.
For a back up camera you are looking at something like a $185 Naviks and a $25 license plate mounted cam. So its going to be around $210, not anywhere close to $600. IMO its the best bang for buck, as it saves you lot of rear bumper scratches and accident.
Agree - I recently installed the $185 Naviks unit and the same above listed license plate mount backup camera, both ordered via Amazon. Plus $40 for extra wire, high quality electrical connectors, heat proof electrical tape, and a quality crimping tool for the connectors. Total cost about $260 counting crimping tool/wire/connectors. My labor time going slow and careful was apprx 5 hours, most of it learning curve. If I had to do it again it would be about 2 hours. Install tip - it is best to follow Naviks printed install instructions exactly in terms of splicing into the SC430 NAV wiring harness. The toughest part (due to awkward position and small working space) is cutting 2-3 wires in the LS430 NAV harness and crimping in the connectors on the cut ends for the connect to the Naviks wires. Work slow use good quality wire cutters/stripper and crimper tool and its not a big deal. Finished product works like a charm.
Link for heatproof tape for use on car. Don't use standard grade black electrical tape as it will fail in heat.
