@BGW70 - Thanks for the help with this issue. during the weekend, i finally had the time to work on my auto-up switch for driver side and it works now.

To sum it up, after replacing my driver side window, the auto-up on the window switch didn't work as expected. when my window is open, i pull up on the switch once and expect it to automatically close. The window would close then bounce back down half way. To fix this issue, follow the instructions on the factory service manual. The instructions are a bit vague but below are some tips to clear things up.
  • I removed the rubber grommet where you would insert the 2mm round bar to expose the white plastic gear.
  • use a small allen wrench to push the white plastic gear.
  • With the ignition switch on and the window all the way up, use the allen wrench to push the white plastic gear (push a good amount) while rolling down the window without using auto-down.
  • Once the window is fully open, stop pushing the white plastic gear.
  • roll up the window without using auto-up and watch the white plastic gear, it should not spin. If it spins, start the whole process.
  • If the plastic gear didn't spin and the window is closed, use auto-down to open then auto-up to test. Window shouldn't bounce down halfway anymore.
Thanks for the help everyone, saved me a trip to the dealer!

Perfect!!! Glad the website helped you out!
you already had the answer in front of you but I agree it was a little vague!
if anything, we gave you moral support! LoL ;-)

your additional notes should help help one of us down the road.

Default Sorry I need help

After reading all I could no one seems to have same issue as me. Am in UK with RH 2003 SC430. No issues with drivers windo until today and I changed battery.
My issue is drivers window is down and will not go up. Operates passenger window and locking fine, in everything I have read issues is opposite to mine window is up and will not come down, have tried holding passenger and drivers passengers switch for 5 seconds after opening and closing but does nothing. Just so I understand this am I supposed to take panel off and manually try and raise window before resetting? Appreciate all your help in advance

Try this before you do anything else. Raise the top and hold the button down until the windows start to raise.

Do both windows go up? That would be a sign of a switch failure. If not, then something else.

Good luck.

Thanks but only passenger window goes up, it all worked perfectly before changing battery and have tried with a spare switch that I have and is the same.
Is the only option to take door panel off and go thru the reset procedure? Still unsure how to raise the window manually? Thanks so much

Well, it was a thought.

I have little to no experience otherwise.

Sorry and good luck.
