brake pedal and vibrations from door panels
Just got my 5000 mile check on my 02 sc430 (Black ecru). Love car but am having 2 problems that the tech advisor said many others are also experiencing but no enough to get a tech bulleting yet out of lexus. The first issue, which has been covered some on this site involves a vibration sound from the levinson audio as a result of the bass sounding from the door panels. Sounds like wood door panel padding is the issue. The other problem that I have not seen mentioned involves a noise every time I release the brake pedal. The noise seems as if their should be some type of spring that would hold the brake pedal to the lever. If any of you are experiencing these problems, please report them on your service visits. It appears that once Lexus receives a certain number of reports, then they will be more likely to specify a fix and issue a tech bulletin allowing the repairs to be made under warranty. Let me know if any of your are having the same issue.

Good point, although this group is probably not over-timid when it comes to pointing out problems to their service managers.
FYI, my door vibration was fixed the first time I brought it in. I was told they foamed it. I can see where this solution would probably fail in areas of changing climates though.
No break pedal noise here, but I think I know what you mean. Has the dealer tried replacing the pedal and assembly?
Good luck.

"they all do that"
I just had mine in for the same exact thing...the door vibration from the stereo. The took it apart and were not able to fix it. I got the "we checked the others and they all do that" response from the dealer. Needlesss to say I am not satisfied.
I'm getting the same response with respect to the vibration-until-warm issue with my tires.
I'm going to be speaking with Lexus corporate directly.
if they fixed these two (what should be minor) issues, this car would be near perfect.
