I've started to drive mine about once a week, even if it's just 10 miles.....the last 2 years I've put about 9k on it, since it was retired as my daily, but before then I was averaging about 20k a year. I also noticed that when I let it sit up for a few weeks or more, it seems to run louder than usual & if I drive it a few days in a row, it get's back quiet....the way I like it...lol

It is my daily driver. I just started a new job after being essentially unemployed for a couple of years. So it had a nice rest. My current commute is about 40 miles a day on week days.

Good for you, you had time to rest from work, not a lot of people survive on a long hiatus and be able to return to work effectively.

40 miles x 2, nice workout for the SC. Car happy, owner happy.

Having three younger kids (12, 16 and 18), mine is a benchwarmer, but I drive it whenever I can. If I'm only picking up one of my kids from school, or only driving one of them to school, I take the SC430.

I tend to not bring it to places where I know parking is tight or difficult, I'll bring my 10 year old Honda Accord for those times. When we go out as a family, we take either my (well, more my wifes) BMW 528 or our I3.

The I3 is a lease, which goes back to BMW in three months. I don't think I'll get another car. Between the other Bimmer, my Honda and the Lexus, and with my son going off to college in a few months, I think I'm covered.

Living in Los Angeles, weather is seldom a factor, seats are more of a factor, but I drive it whenever I can!

I finally let my 16 year old, with only a learners permit, drive the Lexus! She LOVED it... insisted we lower the top, then wanted to go on Topanga Canyon to the ocean! She had a blast driving it! Nice winding road, beautiful surroundings, ending up on Pacific Coast Highway with the ocean as a backdrop! What could be better??? This is what the Lexus SC430 was built for!

I am having the same problem on sunny days. A rarity in Western Washington. Have had my SC 4 months and put 4,000 miles on it. Have 3 cars, a truck and 4 motorcycles. And everything gets drove, ridden once spring comes. Took a F6B Deluxe for a extended test ride. Had a hard time walking away from a deal. Great bikes! Needed something light to go with my 950 lb. touring bike and love my Octane!

Just purchased an '03 white SC with 150k miles on it. It's my daily car. Fun car. I'm in GA so it will get lots of use. I do work from home but running errands have been fun!

Although that's a fair assumption, she doesn't care to drive the SC430 and frankly only drives it when I ask her to. She really only likes to drive her RX350.
