Default Bluetooth Hands free Option

Has anyone installed one of these?

I am leaning towards keeping my 2008 SC430 as stock as possible.

I think you should look into Grom audio. Its totally hidden and it only adds to factory options.

I'm not familiar with it. Since it is from the UK I wonder if Steve is aware of it.

About a week before my SC430 arrived I went out and got a Motorola Roadster 2. It works really well and no changes to the stock unit!

I also bought a Motorola Roadster II and bought a new Moto G4 Plus phone. They work great together. Good for calls, Waze voice and listening to spoken word, not so hot for music.

One thing I appreciate about the Motorola Roadster is when you get in it automatically connects, and disconnects when you exit (saving on the battery). That's a nice feature my older Motorola T505 doesn't have. You have to manually turn it off and on. I've only had to charge the Motorola Roadster once since I've gotten it! It's has a very good battery life.

I just want to throw this info out that full handsfree BT option is quite possible on 2005 and after SCs. That means your SC will auto connect or disconnect to your phone as if its part of car's electronics. Without taking the phone out of your pocket you can select internet radio stations or songs on your phone by pressing the up/down/mode buttons on your steering column or many buttons on the radio panel. Of course, you can always put the phone out and tab the screen to select too.

Yes, on 2005 and after SC factory BT has only phone profile, not media profile. But if you add another media BT profile thru another digital input on the radio then everything is possible.

There are several options, all require adding a digital input in the back of the radio. I think there are threads on the forum talking about them. The cassette route is the easiest, but it doesn't give you full integrated BT capabilities and its analog which degrades sound quality.
