You need to buy a non polarity or reversed polarity LEDs. I used to have this problem.

The dealer asked for 29k and finally went down to 28k. We said 27.5k and walked away after left them a phone no. to contact if they changed their mind. They did not call. We came back a day later and paid 28k for it. It was high compare with the price today but I have no regret. You can't buy the car with same look, performance, luxurious, and fine condition for that price.

I sold 2007 sc430 with 78k miles on it to my friend back on July 2016 for 20k, then I purchased 2008 for 23k at auction with 73k miles on it. I love the car as far performance and reliability. Do you thinking about install the body kit, it will look really awesome

GmanSC- You're stated that you used to have this problem (Map/Dome). Could you please tell me where did you purchase your Map/Dome LED light bulbs? It's work for your SC430. Thank-you

make sure these led bulbs work by applying 12v directly to them...
these sockets can be intermittent sometimes because they don't make good contact with the bulb.

Bgw70- Yes! the old bulb still light up fine, I always used 12v bulbs with BA9S based. I've tried a lot of different type LED light bulbs but I really don't understand why is not light up. Thanks for reply.

i did the same upgrade using a 6 SMD LED board, not a bulb. Had same problem initially with no light up so I swapped positive and negative wires and it all worked. So like many people say, you need to reverse the polarity to get these LEDs to work in this socket. That can be more challenging with a bulb than a board cos the polarity may already be set using the type of base that you have on the bulb. Would you consider using a board with wired connections that you can cut and re attach after a swap ?.

John,
You'd want the non-polarity LEDs, not error free. It's so simple and easy. I made a mistake when trying to reverse the polarity of the wires. Since the map lights are tied to the others, I ended up making more mess.
Why don't you just get a package, it included all the interior LEDs.
