Still Great Looking!
A Bruiser of an SUV!
It was hard, very hard, to let my 2006 SC go. I won't make a big farewell speech. It's not like my departure from the Lexus family matters one bit to anyone. I bought a Mercedes. Something I swore I'd never do again. Well, I was trying really hard to get excited about a new Lexus but they just weren't doing it for me.The NX, the RX, the RC, the IS, the ES satisfied me. I drove each extensively as loaners. The new LS or SC were very interesting but not enough to make me wait for them to come more online and I decided I needed a bigger vehicle anyway. So she's gone. I'll get over it. Wish me luck as I again dive into the world of German vehicles. At least it's mostly sourced from CD Canada and screwed together in the USA. The world is in indeed flat.

I hear what you're saying. If I had the room, I would have as well. It just wasn't practical. Three motorcycles would have to go and that just is NOT going to happen!

Congratulations Rudy. After only reading the title She's gone, the first thing that came to mind was that someone stole it. I hope you have a good run with the Mercedes. I take it you traded in the SC, did they give you a good deal.?

Too bad! Sorry to hear that you let the SC go. Hope you will love your new toy.
For me, no German car can replace my SC.

I never ever ever get a good deal on a car. Well.....maybe a couple of times I did. I'm a terrible negotiator. I did OK considering how tight supply around here is for that vehicle. I'm happy with the deal though! I think I will grow to miss the SC more over time. When the top is down there's nothing like the SC in Southern California.

You've summed up my dillema. There is NOTHING to replace the SC on the market. Nothing even close. I just am not comfortable owning a medium-complex car like the SC as it approaches middle age.
