Default DropTop 430

The Lexus part # is:08402-24815
MSRP is: $469.00 per set.
However I would talk to your service manager and he should be able to give you a discount.
Hope this helps.

That is a lot for those caps, knowing you can get cheap 18s for 700ish, and your SC430 rims are worth ??? 500-1000 on Ebay w/o rubber already. I would rather sell the rims and get some other aftermarket, unless you are a must have OEM person.

Edit: I am not sudgesting you settle for cheap 700 dollar rims, you get what you pay for right?

And another note, they do look very very very nice.

Very classy, Bobcat. Guess your mama never told you "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all". Even if I didn't like the new caps (and I think they're a big improvement) I certainly wouldn't dis them to a guy that just paid $500 for them. Maybe you should post pics of your GS so we can all take pot shots.

For those in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) who want the replacement to the pie plates they will cost $760 CDN and will be available at Oakville Lexus in about 7 days.. Just passing on news that I got from them this past week.. My 2 cents they look 10 times better than the pie plates.. Shouldn't be a problem to get them chromed out if one wishes.. As for the price for the new covers it is very expensive in my books but it is cheaper than buying new wheels..

Default They look fabulous

I just received the new wheel covers and replaced the original "pie plates" on my black SC430 this afternoon.

I think they look great, and better than the photos would indicate. The two big changes are the deep cutouts which eliminate the concentric circle look of the originals, which you can see in the photos, of course, but also the new covers are far more sculptured than the originals, which does not show up very well in the photos. This is because the outside edge of the replacement covers are not raised out from the plane of the wheel as much as the originals. The curved areas are raised above this level out to the center, and then the inner, center circle, where the Lexus "L" logo sits, is far more recessed into the wheel than the original, which was pretty much all on one plane. The originals were quite flat, and these are quite the opposite.

The 10 screw heads, which are flush on the originals, now protrude completely from the wheel cover. I'm not sure I completely like this, and might like to see a new set of shorter screws which would screw in flush to the cover, but I'm not sure yet.

I can say that the resulting look is a great improvement over the original wheels, which was really the one design aspect of the car which I have never been crazy about, and I apprecieate the opportunity for this change without the expense of replacement wheels. For lightweight, plastic replacement parts, they make an enormous difference.

If someone wants to buy a set of pie plates, let me know.
