Default How time flies .....

SC fans

Can you believe the SC 430 was first introduce " 15 years ago?"

I remember when the 430 first came out, it was called the jelly bean
the worse design made by Lexus , all the automative critics hated
The design and of course the pie rims etc..

15 years later, (I might be a little biased as I owned
4 of them) there really nothing on the road that has
Such a loyal following outside of the SL Mercedes Pagoda
190-230SL's.

There are still so many SC fans out there .. pretty amazing
for A convertible that has now been discontinued for over
7 years !

keep on SCing .. gang

Probably my favorite thing about the SC is you don't see many of them on the road. Truly a timeless design!

Never owned a car that draws so many complements from complete strangers as the SC430.

Cherish them, my friends.
I miss the complements - it was a great car, and a style like no other on the road.

The S coupe is the most stylish car on the road, and my mimicking C300 has gotten 2 nods vs tens to my old SC.
No regrets - still love it.

I think what keeps the SC 430 still so iconic
is that you rarely see them on the road all
" Blinged Out" like I see some of the older Lexus
or even Benz.

As the years go by,I think a clean SC
will continue to holds it value. I really dont
see them dropping pass 10K-15K.

I don't intend to ever sell my current White
Gold Crystal

Was in Tenerife last week driving a hired VW polo when a Black SC rockets past me on the Autopista, 6 year old grand-daughter in the back seat says "Look theres granddads car", Don't know why but didn't expect to see one here because they are so rare at home in Ireland

When total u.s. Sales of the sc430 was only 70-75 thousand, that's a low production. That's a one year production run of mustang, camaro. Around Houston I would see others, but no more often than a 911. In 02-03, just as many corvettes were built, as the entire eight year sc430 production run.

I believe total sales in Ireland were about 80 of which only 9 were the facelift model , not sure how many are still about, usually only ever 1 or 2 on classified ads

Australian delivery was 695 units in total since 2001. I haven't seen no more than 11 advertised for sale in the whole of OZ at any given time. We've had ours for 14 months now here in Adelaide South Australia, & I have only seen one other, my Wife two.

Chris......From OZ.

I was in Costco parking lot waiting to pull in a parking space. The lady approached from behind, as she passed me, she gave me a thumb up and said: " love your car and love your plate."
Boy, that felt good !!!
