I could be wrong, but I don't think the key battery has anything to do with the key working, I think it only powers the door lock functions. I think the immobilizer function is passive in that it has some kind of resistor code that is kind of bounced off of the key. Sorry I can't explain it more clearly - probably having a stroke

i think the imobilizer will disable the fuel injectors and ignition to the spark plugs, so no fuel and no fire.

P1340
P0340
p0345
2 are cam shaft sensor errors and one seems to be a genral cam shaft sensor circuit malfunction bank 2. Anyone familiar with this, I am trying to find the wiring diagram now.

My bet is a mouse or other varmint nibbled on your wires. They probably chewed through your cam shaft wires, which is confusing your engine, hence the no start.

would this stop the starter from turning the engine over?
TJ, did you remove the engine cover and look underneath?
if you don’t see a nest or broken wires, do you think it is possible you have a timing belt issue?
how many miles and has the belt, water pump etc ever been changed?

yes im starting to think a rodent might of chewed on some wires, I will visually inspect tomorrow. I can see one sensor, but cant see both being bad. which makes me think a wire is blown. Cam shaft sensor error I would figure it would not try and crank the engine so that makes sense as well. its the P0340 that concerns me from reading that error is pretty general, it points to the wireing as well as the computer. Altthough everything seems to be pointing to the wiring. I will update tomorrow
BTW what is the best repair and schematic manual for his car as i dont see any online at all. Just all data for 12 months for $19.99

Mice chewed on wires? Yes, I can relate to it. It happened to my LS430 years ago. The only difference is I was driving it daily.
The dealer ended up replacing the headlight harnesses. The good thing was they did for free of charge hence it’s under the warranty .
I would definitely look into it. Hope it won’t cost you a fortune.
