I am having my mechanic replace front and rear struts on the 2006 SC430 (I went with OEM Lexus parts). I want to remove the rear trunk parts so that it is as simple for him as possible
There is a thread that shows a pdf of the entire rear trunk. Which parts need to be removed so he can access the top to the struts. I am assuming its ONLY , the center trunk liner and ONLY the two side covers...Is that correct?
Does anyone have the official Lexus instructions on rear strut replacement...

The attached is from an EBay repair manual purchased way back when. It may shed some light on what you are looking for.

 

Wow, Sounds like all of the trunk lining comes out to access the top of the struts. Is that the case..Anyone that has done the rear struts,please verify if all needs to be pulled..Thanks for the pdf.

You have to remove enough to get to parts 12 and 13 in the photo. Hope this helps.

I have a 2002. And it wouldn't matter what year, as I imagine there are small changes between the years. more of just face lifts.
