I'm new to the Club and am about to purchase a new SC 430. Having read the threads on "run-flats" and the problems that come with them, I'm considering having the dealer replace the "run-flats" with a set of Michelin Pilot A/S.
My question is this: I don't remember what the spare tire situation is in the trunk. What do I have to do to get a compact spare tire to fit into the trunk? Or....is there even room for one in the trunk? Do I have to order any parts or do any modifications to get the compact spare to fit?
I'm open for any and all suggestions.
Thanks in advance for your time and help!

Over the last couple years, there have been dozens of comments on the spare tire conversion....and tossing the RF.....Go to this Forum "Search", type in: spare tire......or type in: conversion kit.......or type in run-flats......... Get rid of those RF NOW.......the Michelins are terrific......spare tire kit not too intrusive.....I've put in several threads re: costs.........ENJOY THE NEW RIDE

I replaced the runflats and couldn't be happier. I ordered the Michelin Pilot Sports online at a good price, had them shipped to the Lexus dealer and they put them on for me. I am keeping the runflats in my storage area. I purchased the small spare tire from Lexus. I keep it in my garage and only use it on road trips. I bought a vinyl cover for it and either put it in the back seat or in my trunk, if I don't need the room.
