Several years ago my brother replaced a screen in his LS400 - perhaps it came from you.
I guess it all comes down to costs. Apparently you’re estimating it would be cheaper to manufacture new as opposed to repairing old? I’m not terribly concerned about a couple-three dead spots on the screen. However, once the auto climate control would stop functioning - I’d be very motivated to get it working again - repaired or replaced.
LCD screens are in stock and ready to ship. Price is slightly higher than originally discussed because we did not come close to our pre-order requirement.
Still working on tweaking the black and blue screens to get them exactly how we want them as far as contrast goes. We got a new batch of black and they are looking pretty hot!
I received my CCC back yesterday from Tannins. My leds were perfect. What was wrong was the plastic screen was mottled And optically distorted.
Tannin mentioned that they were unaware of the cover issue that mine had and others have posted about.
they seemed to indicate that they were capable of popping out the lens from the cover and replacing them with a new cover made up by them.
for my fix they bought a new Lexus part and installed it on my CCC then returned it to me. 30 second install. Looks correct now.
Replacing my beat sonic plastic panels their kit used to mount my pioneer double din radio with a better matching Metra face plate bezel painted silver to match the other oem components above it.
too nice of a car not to do it 100% as much as possible.
