Default Part number needed -- windshield washer button

Does anyone have the part number for the windshield washer button? I'm talking about the round button on the end of the wiper stalk off the steering column that you press when you want the washer to spray. It's probably the same for all years, but I have a 2006.

(yes, I did a search -- no love)

84310-24770 for production after 08/2005. Best bet might be salvage or eBay.

Called the combination switch assembly, I don’t believe, but I could be wrong, the push button on the distal end of the wiper stalk is purchasable on it own.

On my 2002 LS 430, the windshield washer button is missing and the little center post down in the stalk won't depress. So I'm thinking it's broken. Is procuring and replacing the entire combination switch assembly difficult and/or expensive?

Is this a typo LS430 because this the SC430 forum. I can move you over to the correct forum if it isn’t a typo.

Sorry, I wasn't watching carefully. I thought it was a general Lexus forum. I'll try to find the correct forum and repost.

Thanks,
Dan

Default Repair button

That button popped out of the arm in my SC430 and I found you have to buy the entire assembly. Another forum member suggested using a small rubber band and I tried it. I got a very small, thin, rubber band and hooked it between the two smaller posts on the bottom of the button. I also twisted it to get proper tension. Then I used a very thin artists spatula to work the button back into the hole on the arm after I put the spring back in, At first the button was stuck down activating the windshield wipers, not a good thing. I had to work the spatula into the edge and push the rubber band in a little more. Works perfectly now.

I had the same problem with my 2008 SC and I searched eBay and found an entire IS300 wiper switch assembly for less than $25 including shipping. I broke the end piece off and stripped its outer plastic using a diagonal cutter and a serrated knife until I freed the button. It fit my SC perfectly.

I solved the problem by using a small, black, rubber cap that I had lying around that happened to be the same diameter as the stalk.

Default Me too!

My button broke also... I actually pushed it in to engage the fluid and I heard and felt a snap and now it’s stuck in the windshield wiper arm.

I too simply need the button... and since I am going to have to dig mine out of the arm I am prolly going to decimate it in the process....
