Headlights on warning?

Headlights on warning?
On my 2003 Lexus SC430 when I get out of the car and the headlights are on there is not a warning that the headlights are still on. Should there be a warning to remind me to turn the headlights off? I notice that when I press the lock button on the remote the lights will go off.

It may have been turned off in the C-BEST settings. If you search this forum for C-BEST you can see a list of all the customizable setting for the SC430 model as well as other models.
It should be under illumination warnings or something like that.

Thanks, I have been in Florida for almost 3 months and don't have the car's manual with me. I took it out of the car before we left home to look up something and it didn't get put back into the car. I guess I could use the auto lights on mode but I like to turn my lights earlier at night than most other drivers and leave them on after most other drivers have turned them off in the morning!

Second click on the door locking remote turns the headlights off. Otherwise they are on a time delay

the headlights turn off at 0, 30, 60 or 90 seconds. This timer begins after the ignition is turned off and all the doors are closed.

The amount of ambient light to trigger ON and the amount to trigger OFF are also a C-BEST setting.
