I did last week. Disconnect the entire MAF unit and place on cardboard before spraying it down with MAF Cleaner. Let it dry completely. Saw my MPG go up about 10mpg. Also clean the throttle body intake manifold while you're at it! Disconnect battery before doing either though!

If the throttle body (air intake butterfly valve) hasn’t been cleaned before then it deserves an inspection and maybe a cleaning. There are videos on YouTube on this topic, maybe not our exact motor, but it’s not difficult. The MAF sensor can be cleaned at the same time too. There are specific products for cleaning both.

The stuff I have is made by CRC . I use this MAF for my RX
But on the bottle, it states you cannot use for Toyota Supra turbo, lexus or Karman
votex sensor
you guys think I can use it for our SC 430?
Never clean the MAF and thought I should do it
one other Q, never discounted the battery for my RX
is disconnect battery needed ? Will it harm the
Electronics without disconnecting the battery?
yikes ...

I always disconnect the battery before doing any engine mods. Never know how the engine might react and some of these electronics can be really sensitive. I heard the MAF can be this way. For example, I was told if you clean the MAF with MAF solution and don't let it dry completely, it can throw an "detonation" code. Better safe than sorry and it literally takes 25 seconds to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

I just cleaned the MAF. Disconnected the battery
And use the MAF cleaner to get the MAF cleaned
one side of the MAF diode was brown while the other side
was red before cleaning and now both sides are reddish
I just drove the car and The idle seems smother at stop
And pickup seems also a bit more responsive!
easy DIY .. I only have 46K on my SC and I guess
The MAF gets dirty quite fast.. get them clean gang
Your SC will thank you

Some argue MAF sensors should be cleaned each time you change your air filter. When you think of it, thousands and thousands of gallons of air with harmful contaminants pass through your air filter and over the sensor potentially leaving deposits. Even more problematic, ‘build up’ in or on your positive crankcase valve, or PCV can cause other malfunctions. Yet both of these engine components are often overlooked. In fact, most manufacturer don’t even have a replacement schedule for the MAF sensor due to their reliability - if properly maintained. But those same dealers charge an arm or a leg for a 10 minute job.

IIRC, there was a thread on MAF cleaning several years ago, maybe even with pictures. This is the link I had for it but it doesn't appear to be working for me right now.

FWIW, the subject was "3UZ-FE engine: Cleaning MAF sensor", the author was Colin Barber.

That's it! I have it in a Word document that is 344k long. If I can load it on to the site, I will.

Here is the thread with pictures. (The Word file is much smaller but some folks can't read Word files.)
