I'm using the Sirius Stratus 7 kit linked below. You will need a specific way to create an AUX channel: 1) cassette tape adapter; 2)Vaistech (SL3U or similar); 3) GROM Audio Kit (only for 2006+); 4)Some other kit that gives you a dedicated AUX input. I have option 3 that gives me Bluetooth for phone call audio, music playback, iPod connection through USB, and HD Radio. I have a 2002 SC430 with a 2007 SC430 Radio.

Just bought a 2005 SC430. Purchased a Sirius Onyx radio. Plugged into 12V receptacle in lower armrest compartment, mounted antenna on dashboard next to window front right side. Ran wires along molding, under glove compartment, between leather and carpet on wall of armrest center console. Drilled hole 1/3rd from rear of console, in carpet under leather from armrest so it's not visible, to snake antenna connection to radio. Tiny Onyx radio from Sirius sits in top compartment of armrest connected to electric and antenna. Sirius will provide you with an FM station in your area that Sirius will play through.
I did not want to change Lexus radio, since in my area, the stations and reception stink and I'd never play it, and the CD changer is reading ERROR 3, and I don't want to spend a few hundred dollars just to get it working again. But I did want satellite radio. What I did was the least invasive, most cost effective way of getting Sirius without running wires all through the car just to get outdoor antenna placement, pulling the radio out to connect to AUX (for probably better reception).
The radio plays through all the speakers, I can blast the volume, and with the Sirius deal, since I have another Sirius account, the radio cost me under $30. The radio cuts out only rarely, about the same as in my built-in Satellite radio in my 2018 car. Basically when I go under a bridge, tunnel, really lousy weather. Is it perfect? No. Is it pretty great? Yeah.
