Default Quick question

Guys, today I noticed something that I never noticed before - the clock stays on after removing the key from the ignition and locking the car. Is this normal operation?

thanks in advance

Yes, that is normal. The clock and the LCD display draw such a small amount of current that the battery will never be affected by it.

Thank you both very much. Yesterday I had to take out the radio and the climate control to install a Grom auxiliary port and I thought the clock stays on due to me not connecting something correctly.

thanks again.

I really like it. I opted for the basic model (AUX only) and it was inexpensive and easy to install (about 20 min). I was looking for ways to play music from my phone and using a cassette adapter or FM transmitter did not really work for me.
I should have done this sooner.

Where did you mount the unit?

The unit is very small. It's connected to the back of the radio and I left it there with all other harnesses behind the cigarette lighter. The unit that I got came with both male/female and male/male cables. One male end of the male/female cable is connected to the unit and the female end you can rout to any location you want. I routed it to the armrest compartment (drill small hole) between the seats. It really looks like OEM.
