Dear Absolutely Red: I didn't realize that the antenna was magnetic and removeable. That's HUGE. One question - why on earth would you EVER want to sell/trade-in your SC430? Thanks for the resonse!

thanks..
Anyway, eventually, something newer and better will be out.. not yet, obviously, but some day (probably 2-3 years perhaps)... or maybe 5 years from now but eventually I'll want something newer and better... I like new and different every so often

"Leslie Cra, if you want to enjoy XM radio you can buy a Delphi Sky-Fi with a vehicle adaptor kit."
Yes, if you also enjoy commercials.
Go Sirius - music channels are commercial-free. (You own a Lexus so I'm assuming you can afford the extra 4 bucks a month.)

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm very happy with XM. There aren't enough commercials to make a difference, and I'm very happy with the selection of genres. I also have 3 Delphis, so with the "family discount" I'm sure I've saved more than $4 a month (although I don't even care if Sirius was cheaper).
Also, is there a Sirius radio that you can use without permanently installing... similar to a Delphi Sky-Fi? If you read my earlier comment, I mentioned that I don't want to have satellite radio installed because I've done enough mods to the car and I only drive it a couple of days per week. Not worth it at this point.

BTW: Because I already have a Gen 1 Sirius Kenwood in my winter car (MY VW) this Kenwood H2A is only costing me an additional $6.99 a month (just like additional XM units)
AND, Between August 1, 2003 and Dec 31, 2003, Sirius will offer a lifetime option for just $399.99 each!! I am seriously considering it!

ceboyd,
Did you know that the head unit on that Kenwood will also control Kenwood's Music Keg?? It's a hard drive that you burn songs to from your computer and I think it will hold 3,500 songs!! It's pretty small too. Just thought I'd let you know. That way you don't need any other hardware. With a music keg and satellite radio, you probably wouldn't need anything else!!! I"m in the Sirius camp with you. Why don't you post your install photos for future reference when others of us want to have it done. Then we can just take the photos to the installer. Nice installation!!!!

no, I didn't know that! ...but I'm not sure I'd ever get the music keg anyway....
Sorry, but I simply don't have step-by-step photos of the installation. All I can tell you is that the rear pulley system for the 3rd brake light was utilized with the single antenna line and it all works great
The photos I have posted here is all I took.
